NEAR DARK 1987

I think I already told you that I have a book that has a list of 50 horror movies that we have to see at some point in our lives. It had this film in it. To be perfectly honest I had never heard of it. I'm not even familiar with the poster (I'm a person with a visual memory).

When I set out to see it I didn't even want to read the synopsis or watch the trailer. I wanted to be surprised.

It's about a guy who meets a very pretty girl. In an attempt to win her over she pulls out her fangs, bites him and turns him into a vampire!

Then the story is about how this boy must adjust to his new life and his new friends.

I found a lot of similarities to the movie "The Lost Boys" yes, I know it's also about vampires, but I couldn't help but think of it throughout.

The love story between the vampire girl and the newly turned human is a recurring thing here. But always showing us a protagonist who is uncomfortable, sick and in an environment that is clearly not his.

I don't know why this movie was on that list of recommendations, I mean, it's not boring, but I didn't find anything in it that I could rescue either. Sorry if this comment doesn't appeal to anyone.
