THE EXORCIST 1973

Today I wanted to talk to you about the last movie I saw, The Exorcist, based on the book of the same name written by William Peter Blatty.

From the beginning I am going to say that it was a movie that I really liked. It deals with the horrible experience of a mother and her daughter, Regan, who begin to notice strange things in the baby. Suddenly she starts to pee on herself and starts swearing, things she didn't do before and the mother starts to despair because she takes her to all the specialists who can see her, but no one can find a solution and her daughter keeps acting the same way.

So what she ends up doing is going to a priest to get an exorcism.

I read the book more or less in the middle of the year and I found the movie very faithful to it, I loved the scenes of Regan possessed, with that hair all messed up, the hyper green eyes, vomiting every now and then also green, the acting of the characters....

The truth is that I think it's a very very very good movie, and even though it's a movie that lasts more than two hours I felt it was very short, it must be because I enjoyed it a lot.

I have a book called horror movies and there are 50 movies that supposedly are the best 50 movies or something like that, I have the idea of watching all of them The Exorcist was among them. It also mentions other movies like The Wicker Man and The Bride of Frankenstein which I also already saw and both are excellent.

So the idea is to see all those I am missing and also review others to review them here and tell you if I liked them or not.

But as for this movie I can only tell you that I loved the performances, they are great. The characters manage to transmit what they feel, especially the mother manages to transmit the anguish she feels for not being able to help her daughter and the daughter also manages to transmit the anguish she feels for not knowing what is happening to her.
